A freelance journalist, executive producer, and photographer from London, now based in Sydney.
I’ve been working in media for over 14 years, starting out in the UK’s entertainment TV industry before moving into journalism. I’ve worked for companies including the BBC, The Daily Aus, ITV, Channel 4, and BuzzFeed. My most recent full-time role was as the Head of Production at Junkee Media.
My work has always spanned different formats - from written editorial, to video, podcast, and photography - and different beats, including culture, mental health, sexuality, lifestyle, news, and travel.
Now I mostly work as a freelancer across consulting, strategy, and content production while I continue working on some of my own projects, including my first non-fiction book.

Before moving into journalism I started my career working on some of the trashiest - but best - TV shows in the UK including Made In Chelsea, Geordie Shore, Big Brother, The X Factor, and The Big Reunion.
I knew the TV industry wasn’t the one I wanted to spend my whole career working in from day one. But I also knew that it could teach me a lot; how to weave good stories together, how to shoot and edit. The years I spent working in TV laid the groundwork for my future career in multi-platform, multi-format journalism.

I started my career in journalism working as a features writer and content producer at the BBC in 2016.
In late 2017 the allure of Sydney’s sunshine grew too great and I moved to Australia to work for BuzzFeed Australia, first creating travel and lifestyle content, and later on the BuzzFeed News team.
In 2019 I joined Junkee Media as the company’s Video News Director, where I stayed for almost four years. In January 2023 I left my role as Head of Production at Scout Publishing, woking across its brands Junkee, Punkee, AWOL, and Australian Geographic.

My journalism has always spanned many different beats and formats. I’ve covered topics including sexuality and culture, news and current affairs, mental health and wellbeing, and travel and lifestyle.
I’ve worked across written editorial, social-first video series, documentaries, social-first publishing, podcasts, and photography.
I’ve always felt that working in journalism is a privilege; having the ability to cover important topics in a way that can help people in some way, and I’m increasingly excited about the evolving mediums and platforms we have to do that.

In 2024, I signed my first book deal with HarperCollins Australia. I’m currently working on the first draft, whilst continuing to freelance across some exciting project.
